SERVICES

I provide mobile therapy services for children.  These services predominantly take place in childcare, kindergarten and schools. However, home visits may also be scheduled.
Intervention usually starts with a comprehensive case history, (which is emailed to parents/caregivers to complete prior to the initial consultation). Thereafter an assessment of the child’s communication difficulties is performed.  Assessments may be standardised or play based, depending on the child’s age and communication ability. An assessment report is then provided.  An intervention program is developed based on the child’s unique assessment results.  The goals within this program are monitored continuously and may be adjusted, as the child’s communication skills develop.
 

Services include assessment and intervention for:

• Receptive and  Expressive Language delay and disorders
• Articulation  delay, speech sound disorders and dyspraxia (motor-planning difficulties  that affect the child’s ability to produce speech)
• Stuttering  (fluency disorder)
• Literacy-based learning difficulties (including early phonological awareness difficulties)
• Social  communication skills
